Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing
Job Description: As a member of a multi-disciplinary team within adult services, the incumbent will provide clinical counseling services to individuals who are experiencing distress or dysfunction related to mental and/or substance abuse disorder, trauma, cumulative stress or problems in living.  This position may require working with clients on a drop in basis. Periodically, the social worker also assists with program planning and may participate in interagency committee work, community development, and/or clinical supervision of practicum students.
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
1 year post Masters of Social Work Experience, preferably in an Adult Mental Health setting required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work with individuals presenting with complex issues, including co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorder.
Advanced communication skills
Advanced interpersonal skills
Commitment to self-evaluation and evidence based practice
Extensive knowledge of various mental disorders, their etiology, and optimal plans for treatment and intervention
High degree of comfort in dealing with suicidal ideation, violence and abuse, and histories of trauma.
Knowledge of various mental disorders, their etiology, and optimal plans for treatment and intervention, including cognitive behavioral and brief psychotherapy.
