Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing
Job Description: The psychologist reports to the manager of the Youth Mental Health and Addictions Services team and works within a multi-disciplinary team. The psychologist provides assessment and treatment to youth and families referred to the Youth Mental Health and Addictions Services Team. This includes providing psychometric, behavioral and family assessments in regards to youth exhibiting emotional/behavioral difficulties. The psychologist completes psychological assessments and reports and provides individual, family and group interventions. The psychologist collaborates with community partners and provides input into program planning and evaluation.
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Experience
Experience working as a psychologist with youth and families in a community-based settting. Experience providing assessments and treatment to youth presenting with a range of emotional/behavioral and learning challenges.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced communication skills
Advanced interpersonal skills
Advanced organizational skills

Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered
