Description

Prairie Harm Reduction is seeking candidates who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment for the position of Drop-In Worker. This position is Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm. This position includes:
-Being welcoming and courteous to people who access services
-Hand out clothing and hygiene supplies to people who access services
-Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
-Pick up improperly discarded needles on PHRs property
-Act as an advocate for people who access services (PWAS)
- Conduct yourself in a manner that maintains and promotes a positive image for Prairie Harm Reduction, and is in keeping with the policies, mission, goals, and philosophies of the organization
- Provide support, information, advocacy and referrals to PWAS
-Respond to overdoses
- Maintain a high knowledge of HIV, Hepatitis C, harm reduction and trauma-informed care
- Maintain adequate knowledge and skills to ensure PWAS receives a high standard of services
- Work collaboratively with community partners
- Attend community events as directed
- Other duties as assigned
